If I Could Just Sit With You A While

If I Could Just Sit With You A While

When I cannot feel, when my wounds don't heal
Lord I humbly kneel, hidden in You
Lord, You are my life so I don't mind to die
Just as long as I am hidden in You

If I could just sit with You a while, if You could just hold me
Nothing could touch me though I'm wounded, though I die
If I could just sit with You a while, I need You to hold me
Moment by moment, 'till forever passes by

When I know I’ve sinned when I should have been
Crying out my God and hidden in you
Lord I need you now, more than I know how
So I humbly bow, hidden in you

If I could just sit with You a while, if You could just hold me
Nothing could touch me though I'm wounded, though I die
If I could just sit with You a while, I need You to hold me
Moment by moment, 'till forever passes by

If I could just sit with You a while, I need You to hold me
Moment by moment, 'till forever passes by

Moment by moment, 'till forever passes by

Last Sunday I heard this song for the first time last Sunday in worship, after being on a 24 spiritual retreat. And I have really found that this song reflects what God has been wanting me to do, just sit with Him a while...that unless I do that then I can not expect for Him to heal my wounds that will not heal. I feel like that we as Christians often times forget that we must stop and take time in our lives to sit with God a while and let him hold us and heal us, and that if we do this we will be able to find healing and comfort in Him. It is important for us to make time of God and to allow him to active and real in our lives, and I think that pratice of sitting with Him is one of the big ways we can let time happen everyday. Well thats all for now, see you next time.
